Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana is a flagship welfare scheme of the Government of Uttar Pradesh aimed at promoting the birth, education, health, and empowerment of girl children. The scheme provides financial assistance at six different stages of a girl's life, from birth to graduation or diploma education.

The initiative seeks to improve the social status of girls, encourage education, reduce gender discrimination, and support families in raising and educating daughters. Financial assistance is transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Eligibility
