Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana

Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana is a flagship welfare scheme of the Government of Uttar Pradesh aimed at promoting the birth, education, health, and empowerment of girl children. The scheme provides financial assistance at six different stages of a girl's life, from birth to graduation or diploma education.

The initiative seeks to improve the social status of girls, encourage education, reduce gender discrimination, and support families in raising and educating daughters. Financial assistance is transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Eligibility

1. Permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
2. Girl child born in an eligible family.
3. Family must satisfy the income criteria prescribed by the Government.
4. Maximum two girl children per family (subject to scheme guidelines).

How to Apply (English)

1. Visit the official Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Portal.
2. Register using your mobile number and create an account.
3. Log in and complete the online application form.
4. Upload the required documents.
5. Submit the application.
6. The concerned department will verify the application.
7. After approval, financial assistance is transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account through DBT.
